Jack Nicholls
I’m Jack, a passionate explorer of plants, creativity, storytelling, well-being in the world and part time basket case. With 14 years of experience as an arborist, basket weaving has become a way to bring together my love for plants, my pushback against waste, and my appreciation for creativity and mindfulness. I’m excited to share this craft and its deeper connections with others.
The Workshop
This is an invitation to reconnect—with your hands, with nature, and with the simple act of creation. We’ll explore **soft activism**, countering the capitalist model by creating gifts from the gifts of the Earth. Let's slow down, sit together and create.
This is about exploration, not expectation. There’s no “perfect” material, no right or wrong way to create. You are the creature of your own creation.
This workshop is more than just basket-making. It’s a practice in gratitude, resourcefulness, and perspective-shifting. It’s about embracing imperfection, using what’s available, and working with nature.
You’ll leave with a fresh perspective one where nature is not something to be consumed, but something to collaborate with.
